From the reviews
This is a wonderful addition to the town of Hempstead, in terms of holistic wellness. The owner Nydia was so accommodating and walked me through the process of an acupuncture treatment. As I am afraid of needles but needed relief from an ankle injury. Nydia was knowledgeable and patient.
I highly recommend and this was only my first time ever. Doctor Nydia is Extraordinarily caring, she goes above and beyond and truly takes the time to tailor and personalize care, even on the weekends and to consult on complex cases. She mad me feel comfortable and walked me through every step.
Nadis Acupuncture was exceptional! Nydia is knowledgeable and patient. She allowed me to express my concerns fully and provided thoughtful responses leading to a fantastic and healing session. The office is spotless and the vibe is warm and inviting. This experience was the self care I didn’t know I needed!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
