From the reviews

I have been working with Kahlan and Alli for five months. They are such good therapists. I have a complicated and long-standing (years) issue that they are taking seriously, working hard to figure out exactly what is happening with my body and how to return to pain-free walking. I am not an athlete( not in any sense!

★★★★★ — Marie, Feb 2026

A friendly place where every physical therapist is very skilled and connectable. I have been here on two separate occasion (shoulder and knee rehab) that covered a good four months of my life, so far.

★★★★★ — Camille, Jan 2026

I started at MVPT after having my right knee replaced in November 2024. I was placed with Kahlan Liu as my therapist to help me regain full range of motion in my new knee.

★★★★★ — Catherine, Apr 2026

I have had a wonderful experience at MVPT and confidently recommend them, especially to those who deal with chronic pain or if your symptoms have been dismissed by other medical professionals. The staff members are always friendly, personable, and helpful.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
