From the reviews

Katie at Mush Kneaded Massage gave me, by far, the best massage I've ever had. I've dealt with chronic back pain for most of my adult life, and she was able to ease the pain significantly. I've had several massages by others and never had the relief I got, from Katie, from others.

★★★★★ — Jordy, Feb 2026

Katie is one of the most talented massage therapists I have had the luck of finding. I live in a resort town, where massages are upscale and in abundance. After shopping around to multiple therapist in my valley, I still choose to drive an hour and a half to see Katie.

I've had a lot a masseuses over the years who haven't really listened and just done what they thought was best for me. Today was the first time I felt heard and left knowing I would return. Katie is amazing and actually listened and took what felt like years of pain off my shoulders.

★★★★★ — Bethany, Jan 2026

Katie was absolutely AMAZING! I’m convinced her hands are magical. The massage was the perfect blend of therapeutic and relaxing, I left feeling so much better physically and mentally. She made me feel completely comfortable, listened to exactly what I needed, and worked out so much tension.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
