What clients say about the cupping here
“I got a full-body massage focused on lymphatic drainage, and it was so relaxing that I actually fell asleep.”
From the reviews
Marissa is incredibly attentive, and her energy is the most grounding and calming presence. She creates such a safe and relaxing environment, making it easy to fully unwind. Her intuition and attention to detail really stand out, and every session feels personalized and restorative.
Highly recommend! The massage was super relaxing, and she did an amazing job working through my pressure points. I have an old shoulder injury, and she really focused on that area, which made a huge difference. You can tell she specializes in treating injuries and truly cares about helping her clients feel better.
My massage from marrissa was so restorative ! i felt both relaxed and more energized after our session. i loved the calming energy and intuitive movement. thanks - sara
I’m a 54 year old woman who has been rear ended twice in the past three months. The work that Marissa has done to help me recover from whiplash and other trauma has been ASTOUNDING. While her massages are beautifully relaxing, they are also kind of a workout.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
