From the reviews
After a knee injury, I started researching physical therapy practices. I’d had experience with the “big box” providers in the past and knew that individual time with a therapist is rare. So, Move to Success caught my eye because they offer 1-on-1 treatment.
I want to sincerely thank Dr. Mandy Kirk for the outstanding one on one care she provided in helping me recover from lower back pain. She took the time to understand my symptoms and created a hands-on, tailored treatment plan that included trigger point release, myofascial release, dry needling, massage, and cupping.
Dr Mandy Kirk is one amazing person. My 1 year old son was diagnosed with a wobbly gait and should have been better with 4-6 weeks. Throughout the entire processs she meticulously documented everything going on with my son.
Move to success is located in a great location in Troy, it’s a small, quiet, and relaxed office. You feel very comfortable and relaxed when you walk through the door. Even though it’s small, Dr Mandy has all of the equipment and tools you need for your rehabilitation.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
