Why Move To Restore is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “I am a Licensed Acupuncturist (Lic. Ac) specializing in fascia, physical medicine, and neurological rehabilitation. During my studies, I focused on Japanese Acupuncture Styles (JAS) and complementary techniques such as cupping and gua sha.…” source →

From the reviews
I highly recommend Brendan Carney and his acupuncture practice, Move to Restore. During the times I’ve seen him, he has addressed my concerns with care and expertise, particularly focusing on my lower back through dry needling, acupuncture, and cupping.
Brendan at Move to Restore is the best “body work” person I’ve ever seen… and I have years and years of history seeing pts, massage therapists, rolfers—you name it, I’ve done it.
Brendan has literally acted as a direct conduit through which my life has been majorly impacted for the better. Physically, emotionally, and spiritually... this man has played a huge role in me being able to take everything in my life to the next level. He is gifted. Truly gifted...a modern day healer by every right.
I can’t recommend Brendan highly enough. I’ve dealt with chronic pain for years, but I met Brendan after suffering a disc injury just a week before my best friend’s wedding. I was desperate for relief, and Brendan came in early to treat me, sight unseen.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
