The staff here went out of their way to be extraordinarily accommodating to our small party of four when others had brushed off our requests. They provided us many options to make my cousin’s bachelorette experience memorable and were so kind and courteous.
Great owners and very clean clinic with qualified therapists! If you’re in Fairhope, AL or nearby, this is the place to go! Also, centrally located in the heart of Fairhope near downtown also.
So Mountain Massage & Day Spa impressed from the jump. I called and was able to get a couples massage scheduled for today. The lady on the other end of the phone was very sweet. We arrived today and was greeted with a warm smile and friendly personality from the lady working the desk.
Since the Eastern Shore location of The Complete Skin Care Centre closed a while back, I have been looking for an alternative that was not too pricey and somewhere where I would not feel out of place.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
