I’m no stranger to regular massages, it’s essential for me. My person told me he didn’t do pregnant people and I that led me to Mokosh. LET. ME. TELL. YOU. When I say this is the BEST massage studio in Louisville, I am not exaggerating!
When I walk in I was greeted by a relaxing reception area. My massage therapist Brianna always greets me with the biggest smile and best energy. She asks insightful questions and follows up on previous items discussed. Her mastery of deep tissue massage melts away the most persistent pain.
10/10 !!! I can’t recommend this place enough! So far I’ve had both Gabby and Brianna for prenatal massages and both times I truly felt it was the best massage of my life. What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
