From the reviews
I called so many places to get a massage, one that I needed DESPERATELY. I finally found Megan and I'm sure glad I did! Without sounding too dramatic, Megan literally CHANGED MY LIFE. I'm a very busy mom of 3, work full time, and have the usual issue with making time for me and my well being.
Megan is absolutely amazing and truly a talented professional. She knows a lot about the muscular structure, which you can really tell. She uses cupping and scraping as needed, as well as stretching combined with very targeted deep tissue massage.
Being new to getting massages, I didn’t know what to expect, but Megan did such a great job with me. Her space was easy to find, and I felt relaxed and comfortable during my appointment. She addressed my issues but was careful around any my sensitivities.
My first visit was phenomenal! Was having issues with lower back pain from strained muscles. Megan worked on the affected area with the perfect amount of pressure. She also provided some excellent suggestions for exercises. Will definitely be going back!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
