From the reviews

WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST PHYSICAL THERAPY IN NJ. I have been a frequent patient for almost 3 years now.. and have had the best experience from every therapist that has worked with me. They never fail to create a uplifting and engaging atmosphere. Especially Racheal who has really been with me through it all.

The team at Mile High is fantastic. I had a complicated shoulder surgery that required a team with advanced knowledge of atypical therapy. Eric is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time necessary to be sure you are comfortable with the program before getting started.

I started going to Steven at Mile High three weeks ago. Steven is kind, thoughtful and considerate. He explains everything in detail; and then not only provides papers with the exercises he is recommending, he offers the option to access the online video when at home to show you exactly how the exercise is done.

★★★★★ — Jennie, Feb 2026

I started going to Mile High PT in October after a prolonged ankle sprain. My podiatrist recommended Mile High PT. Eric was patient and gave very clear achievable goals to help me see the progress I was making. The staff was very friendly and welcoming to me and my kids. I would definitely recommend them!

Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Mile High Physical Therapy

Mile High Physical Therapy comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — a female practitioner is available here. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
