…I especially love the heat treatment and the cupping that I got done once or twice. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend Michelle! She’s the best! I know this because since I met her, I’ve also purchased some Groupons for acupuncture treatments on days she’s not there and they don’t compare. Not even close!
My husband was involved in a motor vehicle accident in 2020. He was under the care of Doctors/pain management Doctors, he had Epidural injections on two separate occasions. He’s also tried prescription and over-the-counter medication. Without much success he was then referred to Michelle Maggio.
I started treatments with Michelle in March for frequent vertigo attacks, headaches, and anxiety. She provided an in-depth consultation taking the time to get to know me. I felt comfortable right away. She believed my health issues were connected and focused on moving my energy down towards my feet.
I saw Michelle for anxiety and menstrual irregularities. At first, I was nervous and a bit doubtful but once I sat with her she made me feel calm & reassured. She’s very thorough and knowledgeable. After a few sessions, my period was back to normal and I felt less anxious at times when I would usually freak out.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
