From the reviews

I can’t say enough good things about Mend Acupuncture. The treatments have been amazing, and I’ve noticed real improvements in both my back pain and my Hashimoto’s symptoms. Ray McDonald and Dr. Staycie Francisco are my favorite providers.

I love Mend! I had done acupuncture before but even if I hadn’t, I find Mend super approachable. Some acupuncturists have cramped dark offices with Chinese medicine posters on the wall, but the environnement at Mend is bright, welcoming, and feels like a bougie wellness spa with the perk that they accept insurance!

I had my very first acupuncture session with Dani and it was amazing! She created such a calm, welcoming atmosphere and explained everything so clearly that I felt completely at ease. The experience was relaxing, restorative, and far exceeded my expectations.

This was my first massage in about a year. I’ve had various massages in several states. As a former soldier and 4 sport athlete, Shante is a pro. Her level of reading my body needs after giving her a brief description of my issues and performing the right technic with the right amount pressure without me having to…

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
