Amazing first visit. My husband and I wanted to treat ourselves to a Valentines Day massage but scheduling had us coming Monday instead. Mellow uses a convenient online scheduling platform and there are a wide range of therapists available during their very accommodating business hours.
Mellow Massage is perfectly named. The atmosphere is increasing and welcoming. Hard to explain but it feels like you are entering your own sacred space when you walk into their world. Elena was my therapist - I have had many over the past 35 years - she is among the very best. She expertly did a restorative massage.
Amazing massage experience! Dan was incredible. I used to get massages very regularly to help with stresses and aches from snowboarding while living in CO but hadn’t found my ideal massage therapist in San Diego until now! The vibe of the space was lovely and tranquil.
I was thrilled to have an 80 Minute deep tissue massage with Taylor. He was warm, knowledgeable, and quite skilled at his craft. What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
