From the reviews
Dr. Lerma is a phenomenal kind, knowledgeable and accessible professional. Office staff are always a pleasure to work with, which in today's world is such a rarity! Make an appointment you won't regret it.
Medicina del Sol was a wonderful find, once I actually found it. Its right in front of city hall however, google took me down a different route. Anyways, my experience was great, almost too good to be true. Place is legit. Provider was awesome and took the time to listen to my medical issues.
Medicina del Sol is a membership medical practice that focuses on patient needs. Deborah Throne, PA has extensive knowledge and contacts to help keep patients healthy or treat those with illness back to health. During this pandemic the office and exam room are cleaned after each patient's visit.
Dr. Thorne is not only exceptionally accredited in a diverse and wholistic manner but she is also attentive, caring, detail oriented and personable! She has been wonderful and does well to provide a broad spectrum of expertise to suit most all things I’d seek out medical attention for.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
