Why Mechanix Massage Therapy is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “my home state of Wisconsin during the pandemic. For over 12 years I operated my own successful massage practice in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I specialize in Swedish, Thai, Ashiatsu, deep tissue, CST (cranial sacral therapy), cupping, warm…” source →

From the reviews
I’ve been going to Kelly for almost 2 years now. It’s so hard to find someone that knows how to work through injuries and painful spots. I have a chronic shoulder/neck pain that she does wonders with. She is so knowledgeable of so many techniques I truly believe she has something for everyone!
I've been seeing Kelly for about 3 years now, and she is amazing. At my last appointment I was experiencing some pain and serious limitations to movement in my shoulder. Less than 36 hours after Kelly worked on releasing the muscles in my arm and shoulder, I had almost full range of motion back and no pain.
Kelly has helped me for more than 7 years now. She is a talented therapist who is experienced. HIGHLY recommend!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
