Doctor Masuda has always been of great help any time I've gone for treatment. Whether it was bringing down significant swelling within a very short period after an injury, or doing highly effective cupping therapy on my back (sufferer of Kyphosis), I highly recommend.
I have been seeing Dr. Masuda for over 2 years now. Wonderful, healing atmosphere! Have had acupuncture treatment from several other providers in the past, but Dr. Masuda is the best by far. Excellent approach to chronic pain, treats the whole person. Does moxibustion, gua sha, cupping in addition to acupuncture.
I have seen Dr Masuda several times for muscular issues, particularly neck and hip. He is AMAZING. I always leave without pain, usually none but always at least 90% of my pain is gone. I love that he treats distally and is very non invasive and relaxing.

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
