From the reviews

I was staying at La Fonda on the Plaza during my visit to Santa Fe, and after several days of walking around downtown, my shoulders and lower back were extremely sore.

I can’t say enough good things about this new massage parlor! From the moment I stepped in, the therapist’s hospitality and sweetness made the whole experience feel special. The space has such a calming vibe, and her professionalism and care put me at ease right away.

Brenda at Massage of Santa Fe Downtown is absolutely incredible. I’ve had massages in spas all over the world, and she truly stands out. Her work blends deep tissue, stretching, and even a bit of standing pressure that gets into places most therapists simply can’t reach.

★★★★★ — Douglas, Mar 2026

What an amazing massage! Very relaxing atmosphere, but they are able to offer deep tissue / sports style massage if you have a specific need. They were able to see me same day, just a couple hours after I called to schedule.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
