From the reviews

My sciatic nerve was acting up. First time meeting Olivia and she asked if I minded trying cupping during the session, she warned it may leave marks or possible bruising. I did have marks from the cupping for a couple of days but my sciatic nerve pain in my back and left leg was gone.

I booked my first appointment when I was desperate to find anything that might offer relief for my plantar fasciitis- I had tried everything else. I saw Olivia and she recommended we try cupping (in addition to a great massage.) Miraculously- within 24 hours I already started to feel a huge improvement.

I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience that I had with Candace at massage mechanics. She was so professional and so eager to listen to all the areas of concern that I had. I walked in in so much discomfort and left feeling so much better.

★★★★★ — Donna, Jun 2025

Both Candance and Erin are wonderful massage therapists! I brought my senior mother in, and we were able to get joint appointment times. Erin and Candance worked together to give my mother the nurturing, caring massage she needed to ease her sore muscles from Physical Therapy while I received the deep tissue…

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
