From the reviews
Massage & Bodywork Education Center was the foundation that prepared me for passing the MBLEX exam and acquiring CAMTC certification. I graduated with the skills and knowledge to start my future in Massage right away.
I have gotten my massages from the owner Michelle for many years. She truly has a gift and passion for healing. Her business is clean and beautifully decorated. When you walk through the doors you feel welcome and at peace in such a relaxing environment. Definitely recommend!
Only giving 5 stars because 1000 isn’t an option. Attending Massage and Bodywork Education Center (MBEC) has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I had made the right choice for my career in massage therapy.
I HIGHLY recommend MBEC. I originally graduated from another "school" prior to learning about this schools CAMTC approved excellerated program and I couldn't be more happier with the results of this training. Michelle and her teacher Rianne are some of the most down to earth ladies.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
