I’ve been seeing Maria since earlier this year, and I’m so glad i booked that first appointment! She truly cares about her clients, takes the time to listen to them, helps them on their healing journey, but gives great advice about holistic practices, too.

You only get one body, so taking the time to take care of it will benefit you throughout your life. Seeing Maria is part of the routine maintenance I give back to my body. I work an intensive job doing physical labor everyday so routine massage has been apart of my life for a long time.

Maria is absolutely phenomenal! The best massage therapist I have been to in years. She takes the time to listen and provide support for my areas of concern. The products she sells are top notch and a fantastic compliment for during and the weeks between massage appointments.

Best massage therapist I have ever been too! Not only is she super sweet and nice, but she has the hands of an angel! Everytime I go, I leave feeling so much better and all my aches and pains melt away. Highly recommend!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
