From the reviews
I highly recommend Dr. Maya at Mansfield Physical Therapy and wellness. After the birth of my first child I wanted to make sure that my pelvic floor and core were in good shape before I started an exercise program. Dr.
As a PT myself, finding the pelvic floor niche at Mansfield PT and Wellness was great! They only do 1-1 appointments and my therapist, Susie, is extremely knowledgeable and helped me keep my twin pregnancy relatively pain free! I’ve already booked my postpartum appointment to return.
I truly cannot thank Mansfield Physical Therapy and Wellness enough for the care they have provided to me over the past year or so! I had the pleasure of working with both Susie, for pelvic floor PT, and Lexi for my hip pain. As a new mom, it was incredibly hard to make time for myself to get into PT once a week.
I strongly encourage anyone in postpartum recovery to work with Maya on pelvic floor PT! I worked with her beginning at 6 weeks postpartum and it immensely helped my recovery. I felt comfortable knowing I was strengthening and healing the right way, and I learned a lot from her in the process.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
