From the reviews

Donna is great. I have been a patient for 5 years now. It always amazes me what acupuncture can do. I will be talking to her about something and she will say, "Oh, I will put a needle in for that." Amazing!! Super relaxing too, almost like a massage. Cupping is great, too.

Donna has been my new acupuncturist and Chinese medicine/nutrition doctor for the past 8 months. She has in depth knowledge of Oriental Medicine and helped me a great deal with my specific medical condition and my road to wellness in general.

★★★★★ — Emma, Jul 2013

I started seeing Donna for endometriosis pain and balancing my emotions. I felt like I had nothing to lose after trying various birth controls and multiple doctors basically telling me there were no solutions. I immediately felt calm after my first session.

★★★★★ — Morgan, Nov 2024

I've been going to Donna for a while now. She's been helping me with various issues. She has help greatly with a number of issues and I feel that I'm on the road to recovery. She is an excellent acupuncturist and healer. I feel very fortunate to have found her and highly, highly recommend her. Nancy

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
