From the reviews

I thank the heavens for Dr. Brandy Valentine! As with new things, we can all be a little nervous about the unknown but my desire to feel better was stronger than my nervousness! It is hard to put into words how amazing my experience has been and how acupuncture helps your body help itself to heal and feel better.

★★★★★ — Cheri, Aug 2022

I am an older Korean woman and I have been exposed to acupuncture all my life (50+ years). Brandy is very compassionate, down to earth and flexible for your needs! More importantly, SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING!

★★★★★ — Septfebmom, Jun 2020

This was my first ever acupuncture experience. Dr. Brandy Valentine is an amazing woman. She is knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I can't imagine a first experience being any better than with her. I'm rescheduling as soon as possible.

★★★★★ — Susan, May 2023

I am so appreciative! After a visit to the orthopedic urgent care for a severe nerve impingements in my cervical/thoracic spine and unbearable muscle spasms, my husband drove me over to Lotus. We didn't have an appointment, but Brandy was so very kind to take care of me. She got me on the table right away!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
