From the reviews
I’ve been seeing Jack at Livewell Manual Therapy for shoulder and neck tension, along with a shoulder injury involving multiple tears that had been preventing me from doing many of the things I love and I honestly can’t recommend him enough.
I have had nothing but positive experiences working with Jack. I started out wanting to improve on some movements. Jack took the time to break them down and explain them to me in a way that made sense to me. He explains things thoroughly and completely and answers all of my (many) questions.
I have had four manual therapy sessions with Jack so far, out of a series of ten, and each one has been not only really relaxing, but also fun and interesting. Jack is so knowledgeable and passionate about what he does, and is great at explaining what is going on. He is very present and very focused.
LiveWell Manual Therapy truly gets it. With a background as a competitive gymnast and CrossFit coach/athlete, Jack understands what it means to keep doing the things you love and how frustrating it is when injury, strain, or pain gets in the way.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
