From the reviews
A positive place for treatment. The practitioners are extremely warm and positive. Their treatment made all the difference in my healing during and after radiation therapy for throat cancer.
This place has been a blessing in my life. I first started coming to treat the irritability and stress caused by the depression, using acupuncture. I was highly recommended by a friend that had cancer and treated side effects from her treatments.
Judy and Kerry have gone above and beyond to help decrease my pain level. I have actually went from the pain level of 9-10 down to a 2-3 with the support of these two amazing acupuncturists. I have two herniated discs and diagnosed with radiculopathy, it was a gruesome and painful beginning.
Barely walking and completely in pain I was willing to try anything. My doctors had no answers for me, and I spent most days in bed for almost 3 months. I found a free session coupon on the 4th of July in 2010 and figured what did I have to loose. I knew nothing about acupuncture.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
