From the reviews
I have soft tissue pain in my back. It’s been very bad at times, has been difficult to treat and has ruled my life. I’ve had it for 25+ years and have been on a number of strong prescription pain relievers. I recently had to stop or decrease 2 meds because they just aren’t good for anyone to take for long periods.
Douglas Weinstein is awesome! He is so caring and spends time listening to you. He always seems to know just where the problem areas are. Acupuncture has helped reduce my migraines and helped to reduce my stress and anxiety.
My experience thus far at Live Well Medicine has been amazing! Douglas Weinstein is the "real deal" - a natural-born healer. While he specializes in and has a strong foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine, he is also able to effortlessly expand his knowledge so that it is able to reach any client in a way that…
Brian is a knowledable and gifted acupuncturist who listens to your ailments that day, and treats yyou accordingly. I didn't have a good first experience with acupuncture more than 10 years ago with someone else, and had written it off, but I enjoy it immensly now, and I owe it to Brian earning my trust.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
