From the reviews

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Liu and her team. I have a very demanding daily ashtanga yoga practice while having a full-time job. For the past 2-3 years, I've had a lot of back, neck and shoulder issues.

This place is one of the best massage parlors that I've ever been to. They seem to sense what you need. I try to go to them at least once a month. You can get a $70 hour massage that will blow your mind with a combo of almost any other thing you might need such as acupuncture, cupping, acupressure and hot stone…

I think I found my Chinese massage place in Oakland! I used to go to a few key places in SF, so glad I called to schedule a massage, and the lady I spoke with, Rachel, was very nice and professional. I got a massage from David, and it was excellent! He really got in there! Would totally recommend this place.

Had a one hour massage and cups with Mary today (only 70$), and I feel so good. She is a magician. Perfect balance of strength and soothing touch.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
