“I started seeing Candise a couple months ago initially due to neck pain/tension, but my visits have evolved to address that as well as tackle other aspects as I look to optimize my health overall.”
“She's not the first acupuncturist or TCM practician that I've gone to, but she's definitely the most knowledgeable, and it's clear to me that she's committed to always learning more.”
“Candise takes the time to listen, explain the potential cause of ailment, how the treatment works, and advises further self treatment beyond appointments with her.”
“Candise created a safe and compassionate space during our first meeting and I immediately felt comfortable opening up to her about all of my health issues.”
“I started acupuncture with Candise during a slowed and stalling recovery from a long-time, recurring injury.”
“The rise in my quality of life I’m experiencing since we started working together is worth every single penny.”
From the reviews
Candise is amazing! I've worked with her for nearly a year to improve neck/shoulder/wrist pain related to computer use ("tech neck") and it's been hugely helpful for me. My treatments have included acupuncture and cupping, with supplemental massage.
I really enjoy my sessions with Candise. They are a very good listener and start with wanting to understand how your body feels and and your health history to have a more knowledgeable approach. Each session they are careful to do an intake and check in that has helped me guide the sessions to get what I need.
After years of chiropractic care, Candise has been able to relieve a huge amount of my neck & shoulder tension with just a few acupuncture & cupping visits. I had some very stubborn, painful knots that weren’t going away and now so many of them are gone!
I've seen Candise for a couple years now, and highly recommend her. I always walk out of her treatments feeling relaxed. Her needles and cups work wonders on me. She's also a great listener and super easy to talk to. If you're dealing with neck or back issues, definitely go see her!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
