From the reviews
Been visiting light health for over a year, really enjoy the massages. Recently tried, their acupuncture and fire cupping to help with my sport injuries. The doctor is knowledgeable and gently. My wrist felt better after the first session and the doc follows up with the treatment the next session.
My husband and I had gone here for a 60 minute deep tissue massage yesterday and had a good experience. They initially ask us to chose an essential oil (among 4 options). My masseuse was Helen and she did a great job, with pressure at the right points and was very professional.
Have been getting my acupuncture and massage treatments from LHC for over 3 years now. Quality of treatment is always consistent and practitioners are skilled. Communication can be difficult for non-Mandarin speaking customers but once that is ironed out, subsequent regular visits become a breeze.
I had Kelly and she just beyond great. She had a great flow and seems understanding all the pain point of a person who works at a desk job (me). She covered lots of details on my arm (palm, wrist, elbow), shoulder, and neck as I asked. All the pressure was even and perfect.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
