From the reviews

Although I had tried acupuncture (with good results) before, I began going to Dr. Li approximately two years ago for shoulder and hip pain. Unfortunately, orthopedic doctors would only recommend cortisone shots which only helped temporarily (if at all). After only one session with Dr. Li, I was much improved.

I am sooo glad I found Dr. Li because he has helped me with the following issues: lower back pain, environmental allergies, cracked skin on my hands, plantar fasciitis, and wrist and knee pain over the past 2 years. I began my journey with Dr.

★★★★★ — Gary, Jan 2018

A cancer diagnosis, no matter what the stage is shocking. As soon as I received the first chemo infusion treatment, I realized the quality of my life, no matter how long it would be, had been drastically compromised.

★★★★★ — Connie, Feb 2016

For almost 3 years I’ve had back pain due to a herniated disk. I had to take 2 steroid shots to my lower back followed by physical therapy for 3 months. In the end, I don’t know if the physical therapy worked or it was simply the steroid shot that I received.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
