Why Life Force Acupuncture and Wellness is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “dicine (TCM) is a system of healing developed in China more than two thousand years ago. TCM incorporates different healing therapies including: acupuncture, tui na massage, qi gong exercises, diet therapy, moxibustion, cupping, Gua Sha…” source →

From the reviews

I would like to share my experience as a client of Maggie's so that you can know from the inside what it is like to receive her expert care. I arrived in town with tremendous body pain. I was bloated, dealing with peri-menopause symptoms and exhausted. I was able to get in pretty quickly.

★★★★★ — Joanna, Sep 2022

Maggie is compassionate and understanding. Her main goal is to help you any way she possibly can; she goes the extra mile whenever needed. I have a bad back and a bad neck; she provided/provides me relief when nothing works. Her cupping is amazing.

Look no further! The most wonderful experience with accupuncture and cupping. Maggie is knowledgeable, professional, insightful and compassionate.

I went to Maggie with back spasms. She placed needles in me and then attached a TENS unit that pulsated my back muscles. The treatment was very helpful . Thanks Maggie.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
