From the reviews

After a repetitive motion project at work left me with a tight right shoulder, I was able to get a last minute massage appointment with Derrick- I had seen previous reviews of his so I trusted I was in good hands.

Exceptional experience! Very pleasant and relaxing environment. I felt extremely comfortable throughout my massage. I highly recommend Brenda. Exactly the experience I was hoping for today. Thank you!

★★★★★ — Rob, May 2026

I searched over 10 hair salons in the vicinity for someone who can cut layers well and can understand my needs for my hair/scalp. La Pomponnee carried Aveda hair products which I am a loyalist to because it saved my inflamed scalp in the past and it did it again thanks to the salon’s help.

★★★★★ — Pia, May 2026

I went in looking for a deep, intense massage, and Derrick absolutely delivered — but with such care and professionalism throughout the entire experience. He really listened to what I wanted and knew exactly how to apply the right amount of pressure while still making me feel comfortable and relaxed.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
