From the reviews
Debbie is an exceptional acupuncturist. Many times I have gone to acupuncture and not really felt a shift after a session, however every time I leave her office I feel rejuvenated, calm and centered. She is highly skilled and incredibly knowledgable.
Dr. Debbie is not only extremely knowledgeable about TCM but is very passionate about holistic health in general. She's a skilled practitioner and I often found myself in a trance like state of lucid dreaming during my sessions.
Dr. Kung offers a supportive and holistic environment with her work, she checks in on what's going on and then offers a tailored approach to her acupuncture session. She is professional and warm at the same time, offering a safe space as well as an informative environment.
I first came to Dr. Kung a few years ago to help with my acid reflux and she was amazing. After a moxa treatment the symptoms immediately dissipated. Two years later, my acid reflux came back and I'm glad to say that Dr. Kung was just as helpful as before.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
