I would like to give a shout out to Kinetic Rehab and Spine in Ramsey, NJ. I had a tear in my rotator cuff and visited a number of Physical Therapists as well as a few doctors. Nothing worked. As a last resort, I tried Kinetic and have been most pleased with them.
Kinetic has changed my life! Sounds clique I know but it’s no joke. I’ve been struggling with hip pain due to bursitis for a couple of years now. I’ve had injections, PT at other facilities, Chiropractic even tried anti inflammatory /pain meds. All with no relief.
My son has been attending Kinetic for the last few months, and I couldn’t be happier with our experience! The staff has been incredible—warm, patient, and genuinely attentive to my 6-year-old’s needs.
Kinetic was great. Within a couple of sessions I went from concern about pain to a sustainable maintenance plan. They quickly determined that pain in few areas -- neck, head, shoulders, were all related. Their close attention helped me adjust and correct form during each session, to stretch and strengthen.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
