I wanted to share my experience with Maggie Fernandez. I have seen her twice so far and plan on continuing with my therapy. I have had massages before but no one has come close to eliminating the migraines I have been experiencing. The tension in my neck is painful.
Maggie is an experienced and knowledgeable massage therapist. Maggie is not only great at what she does she is fully qualified based on her credentials. She is thorough , caring and consistent . She figured out my problem and developed a care plan . My headaches and neck issues have since resolved.
A ++; I had a very through deep tissue massage that hit all of my trouble spots. Before that there was a detailed interview to find out where my issues were. The treatment was on par with that of a very good physical therapist; actually better than physical therapy.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
