This place is excellent. Was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I followed through. I have been suffering from back pain for years, even to the point I couldn't walk or stand up straight some days.
A fine facility it you want to recover or maintain your strength for a long time. I couldn’t get along without Addy and Steven who are so so helpful! And then there is Tucker the wonderful therapy dog who greets you everyday! I need to add a very important note.
This is truly the best PT place I have ever been to. I have a job that is very hard on the body and unfortunately have gotten hurt twice now from said job. The first injury I had been to other PT places and was very aggravated. Works comp found this place and it has truly made all the difference.
As I walk in the door each time, I am met with a friendly face. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing. All of the personnel are obliging and eager to schedule the treatment around my needs. I cannot praise Alison Wilson enough.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
