Why Kimon Wellness is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “of acupuncture such as Classical (pre-Mao), TCM (post-Mao and the western world), Wu-Xing (Five Phase/Element), Japanese styles, Korean wrist-ankle, I-Ching Balance Method, modern science-based acupuncture, and various cupping techniques.…” source →

What clients say about the cupping here
“It was calm and soothing, but also direct about what I can do outside of body work to improve my overall health (which for me means improving my core strength so I will have less back issues).”
From the reviews
I had a massage with Heather. She spoke straightforward about my overall wellness. It was calm and soothing, but also direct about what I can do outside of body work to improve my overall health (which for me means improving my core strength so I will have less back issues).
I saw Don for acupuncture and a custom Chinese herb prescription, as someone entirely new to both, having done no research prior. I’m glad I went in blind, knowing nothing about acupuncture, because my experience wasn’t tainted by any kind of expectation.
I have received both bodywork/massage and also acupuncture and herbs from the practitioners at Kimon. I have received treatment from many different providers in Tucson, and I can say that I have a much more elevated experience here.
25 years ago, after a bad fall I limped into his office with a knee the size of a cantaloupe. I walked out with a knee already returning to a more comfortable size and condition! Last year he prescribed herbs that made a real difference in treating a serious Covid-induced lung issue.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
