From the reviews

I have been treated at KAM by Katie on two occasions. Each time, I was met with a warm serene environment and demeanor. I had not gone to an Acupuncturist before, so this was appreciated. The treatments were very helpful in greatly reducing or eliminating pain. Everything was explained along the way.

From the first day that I met Katie she was so informative and so educating. I had come to her in desperation from relief of many things. One being pain from Chronic Lyme, which comes with constant migraine headaches, stress, anxiety and sleep issues.

I can’t say enough good things about my sessions with Katie Murphy at KAM Acupuncture. Every visit feels like a true reset for my mind, body, and energy. I always leave feeling lighter, balanced, and deeply aligned. It’s become such an important part of my self-care and spiritual wellness routine.

I have been working with Lucy Bell for the past 6 weeks. I originally went in for sciatica pain on the right side. Lucy was very attentive and always made me feel comfortable. She was able to address the pain. When I had pain on the left side she addressed right away and gave tips to he[p between sessions.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
