I’ve been seeing Melissa Casey for massages for a few years now, and she is truly the best. She somehow always knows exactly where I’m holding tension and works it out without me even having to say a word. As someone who is a heavy weightlifter, I highly recommend Melissa! She will do cupping too!!!
Sarah listened to exactly what my problem was and customized the massage accordingly. She was very interactive asking about the pressure and if I was comfortable. She also incorporated stretching which was amazing. I definitely recommend her and signed up for their monthly maintenance program.
Love the new location. Amazing energy as soon as you walk through the door. Devon is superb as a massage therapist and Amanda knows skin care and possesses an amazing touch.
I went to Ka lani as I was recovering from a shoulder injury. I had never been very comfortable with the idea of massage, but I was still in pain several months after the injury, so I decided I had to try something else - I’m so glad I did!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
