From the reviews

Joint Motion is an outstanding physical therapy facility. I recently finished treatment at Joint Motion for a shoulder injury that was causing a lot of pain and discomfort. By the time I finished treatment with Tristan, John and Mark, my range of motion was back to normal and the pain was relieved.

I have been to quite a few PT'S over the years. None have given me the results I have experienced with Joint Motion. Thanks to the supervision of Mark my Physical Therapist, I am aware of my posture, standing, sitting and lifting. The exercises Mark had me do were very helpful and on target.

★★★★★ — Guido, Nov 2023

Overall a fantastic experience and I highly recommend Joint Motion for anyone requiring PT. I attended after having elbow surgery and the engagement from my physical therapist (John), along with the rest of the staff (special acknowledgment to Ibrahim) was remarkable.

★★★★★ — Jon, Sep 2021

I recommend Joint Motion to everyone. I would give them 10 stars if I could! I originally came to them a few years ago with knee issues and within a few weeks they had given me the tools to help fully rehabilitate me.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
