From the reviews
I contacted Neola, at Jenkins Physical Therapy after hurting my lower back a few months ago and was prescribed physical therapy. It was the best decision about my back I have ever made.
I highly recommend JPT for your injury/treatment needs. I recently had treatment for lower back and leg pain and following my treatment session my issues are resolved. Neola is very through in her diagnosis and treatment protocol. My appointment was 1.
Jenkins Physical Therapy will forever be out PT home! They are genuine, knowledgeable, and made us feel extremely comfortable- as if we were in our own home. We were first time acupuncture and cupping patients, and they talked us through each step (never talking over our heads).
Dr. Jenkins is amazing! My 10 year old son is a competitive swimmer and was dealing with a strained rotator cuff right before a Championship swim meet. He saw Dr. Jenkins for an evaluation, stretching, scraping, and cupping. The results were amazing.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
