From the reviews
Janice is by far one of the best acupuncturists I've been to. I used to live close by but now I travel from Pasadena. She's helped me with so many things and I look forward to going. I get acupuncture and cupping every time I go. 10/10 - would recommend!
I came to Janice due to chronic back pain. I had never done acupuncture before and honestly hadn't considered it until a friend recommended it and specifically recommended Janice. My treatments with Janice really leave me feeling much more relaxed, loose and limber.
Highly recommend Janice for acupuncture! I had never had any acupuncture done before, and Janice was extremely patient and kind, explaining everything in detail to me—the process of acupuncture, how it could work in conjunction with other kinds of therapy, and was able to accommodate my visual impairment and soothe my…
I’ve been seeing Janice for two years now, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She has been an absolute game-changer for my neck, lower back, and hip pain. What sets Janice apart is her incredible ability to find every troublesome knot and tension point — it’s like she has a sixth sense for where the body is…
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
