From the reviews
I can’t put into words how much acupuncture with Jaime has changed my life. I have stage 4 endometriosis and even after multiple surgeries and a hysterectomy, earlier this year I was told I would need another surgery. I was in debilitating pain 2-3 weeks out of the month.
1st time..skepticism.. of course. Truly the best experience of my life. 5 unsuccessful attempts with a chiropractor to flip sacrum and release nerve pain, burning and tingling. Excruciating to put it mildly. Immediately after session. I was able to sit down comfortably. Pain is 98% gone. Unbelievable.
I enjoyed acupuncture with Jaime from 37 weeks pregnant until birth. She fit me in for an extra session the last week I saw her. She did some additional things (very relaxing) since we were just past our estimated date. I birthed the following day.
I highly recommend Jaime at Acupuncture on Hanover! She has a beautiful office and she made me feel right at home. Her holistic approach addressed many aspects of life that contribute to my overall health. I love that her approach allows her to treat with different modalities, based on what the body needs.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
