From the reviews
Great place with great staff. Allison was able to get me straightened out with a deep tissue and cupping. After the second appointment with her, my pain just about disappeared. Clean environment, informative answers to questions and Allison listened to my injury and took the time to help me.
I have had a lot of bodywork and alternative therapies for myself and my children and I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that our treatments from Mellany far surpass the rest. She is easily at the top of her field and she never stops learning.
Needed a lymphatic drainage massage after a procedure and made an appt here and was NOT disappointed. I was booked by the owner Mellany, but treated by Allison. These girls know what they're doing here. I left my massage, which was filled with such easy going and fun conversation, feeling I had been in EXCELLENT hands.
Mellany is a true healer. She is professional, knowledgeable, and weaves in many forms of healing into her practice. Her studio is absolutely adorable and the feelings I get when I’m there are safe, warm, and comforted. I’m so grateful to have found her. She brings her all into her practice.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
