Sherra is a true healer, and we are so lucky to have her in Boise. She supported me throughout my chemotherapy treatments and continues to play a vital role in my recovery. She listens closely to your specific health concerns and provides comprehensive guidance for healing.

★★★★★ — Linda, Feb 2026

Sherra @ IntentQi Acupuncture in downtown Boise provides the best acupuncture experience I have ever had. Not only is her space calm and inviting, but her wealth of knowledge around overall health and wellbeing is impressive, and her personality is nice and fun.

★★★★★ — Danika, Feb 2026

Sherra is the most comprehensive acupuncturist in the valley! She treats the whole body with acupuncture but she is also all inclusive with diet, exercise, mental and spiritual health as well! She is kind and listens to both what you are saying and what the needles are saying as well!

★★★★★ — Kat, Feb 2026

Sherra is one the most powerful, caring, and knowledgable healers I've ever worked with. After working with her consistently for a year and a half, I stopped experiencing any environmental allergies -- something that had plagued me since I was a young child.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
