Dr. Aimee saved my life. I came to her in January. I had been to every doctor under the sun and had taken more medications than I had ever wanted to. I decided to give acupuncture a try as a last ditch effort to get myself back. At my first appointment I knew she was the one.
Dr. Montanaro has been helping me with my fertility journey, she’s amazing at what she does. I’m happy to have found her.
I have been going to Dr. Montanaro for almost a year and she is the best thing to happen to in 2023 by far. Her professionalism and caring for her patients is off the charts. I had a very painful lower back condition. Dr Aimee got me in her schedule that day and I improved after the first session. I came back the next day and improved even more. I am a first time acupuncture patient and extremely pleased and probably 90% healed. I couldn’t be happier!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
