I had an hour and half session with Desiree , always professional and decided for a longer session this time . She integrated cupping in the massage and I cannot say enough on how the experience enhanced the effectiveness of the massage !
I always leave my appointments extremely relaxed. Desiree goes above and beyond with essential oils, hot pads for the feet, cupping, etc. Highly recommend scheduling with her!
I have been a client of Desiree’s for over 5 years. She is professional yet personable and just an awesome massage therapist. Her studio is situated along the picturesque Clarion River. Inside the studio, it is very calming and relaxing with great music playing softly in the background.
I’m a little late on the review but went about a month ago to get a 90-minute deep tissue massage and it was amazing!! I’m from out of town and struggle to find masseuses who will do the level of firmness I like but Desiree got some really deep knots out of my back that had been bothering me.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
