I never thought much about acupuncture. My gynecologist told me to try it one day while I was crying as I was extremely late but still not pregnant. I saw Jessica trying to see what she could do to help me get pregnant.
About three years ago, I began my journey with Inner Wisdom Acupuncture during a particularly challenging time in my life. I was undergoing another round of IVF, hoping to expand my family after having my first child a year and a half earlier.
Jessica Gallegos changed my life. I was 4 months post-chemotherapy and struggling to walk and moved due to pain. The first time I received Trigger Point injections from Jessica she explained what to expect. She mentioned I probably wouldn't notice the difference at first and it would take a few sessions.

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
