From the reviews
I came to Sonia after a visit to my regular doctor resulted in blood tests leaning towards an autoimmune/thyroid dysfunction. I knew that my physical body was holding on to a lot of yucky things and bad energy, a culmination of both physical and emotional trauma and self-sabotage from the last couple of years.
I injured my lower back resulting in severe pain and the inability to fully stand. My doctor prescribed some meds but they didn’t help. I decided to go a different route, and found Inner Spring Wellness was 10 mins from house.
Sonia is amazing! I started seeing her a few months ago to treat a stress-related neck injury. I had seen some improvement with the prescriptions from my doctor, but I was still in a lot of pain and discomfort. After my first session with Sonia I felt immediate relief and have only continued to improve.
Sonia is an amazing healer, and I have gone to many other acupuncturists for my care for over 30 years. Relief for anything affecting me is immediate after each appointment. She is a terrific acupuncturist and uses other modalities to support deep healing and energy realignment.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
