From the reviews
As a healthcare provider and a recent graduate, I have spent far too long neglecting my own health while juggling school, work, and family responsibilities. After dealing with severe back pain, headaches, sciatica pain, and insomnia for what felt like an eternity, I finally prioritized my well-being and sought…
I recently got a lovely message and cupping session with Yao. She was quite skilled. I arrived with a migraine. She took the time to talk about my specific points of tension and personalized the massage accordingly. She was extremely professional, friendly, and patient.
I’ve been coming to Injury Care Acupuncture & Wellness for the past three years, and I can’t say enough great things about this place and Dr. Cao and Yao. I’ve received acupuncture, massages, and cupping. Every visit I’ve been asked what my trouble areas are and have been given recommendations on treatment.
Incredible Massage Experience - Highly Recommended I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a massage, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations as always. Yao and Kewei were extremely professional, warm, and attentive.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
